    How do I modify my profile?

    • After logging in, click on your profile picture in the upper right corner of the screen.
    • Underneath your profile name, click Edit Account.

    What web browsers are supported?

    The site supports IE 9+, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari. Some user settings on IE 9+ may prevent IE 9+ from rendering properly. For this reason, we recommend using Firefox and Chrome.

    How do I find which version of IE I am running?

    I am using IE 9 or greater and am having problems displaying the course. How can I fix this?

    Internet Explorer has a built-in compatibility mode, which may be attempting to render Explore Data Science like it would be seen in IE 8. To check this, first open the F12 developer tools under the Tools menu:

    Next, ensure the Browser Mode and Document Mode on the panel that appears match your current version. You may click on them to change the settings, if necessary.

    Once you’ve verified the modes, you may close the developer tools panel.

    I can’t pass a challenge. What should I do?

    • While attempting a challenge in Challenge Mode, click View Hints to see a set of hints.
    • Click Take a Hint. This will provide a helpful hint to solve the challenge.
    • Still Stuck? Continue clicking Take a Hint until you see Show Answer. Follow the directions or copy and paste the provided code to complete the challenge.

    How do I request a feature or report an error?

    To request new features or to report errors encountered while in Challenge Mode, click View Hints or the light bulb icon and then click on Feature request? Please let us know. In the bottom right side of the Challenge Mode window. This will send an e-mail directly to the Explore Data Science team.

    How long is the course?

    The course takes approximately 40 hours. This is a self-paced, hands-on training.

    The course requires you to use Python to complete the interactive challenges. The course is self-contained within the web browser, requiring no additional software installation.
